Board of Directors

Dr Mo Kader (Chair)

Dr Kader is an academic with 20 years’ experience in university and private higher education institutions in Australia. He has worked as a senior lecturer, a unit coordinator, member of industry advisory panels and member of editorial panels. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Training and Development, Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. His academic memberships further include: the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Australian Council for Educational Leaders, Association for Tertiary Management, Society for College and University Planning, Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education and Transforming Assessment in Higher Education. Dr Kader is also Managing Director of Consultica Worldwide Management Consultants.

Mr Charanjit Singh

Mr Singh is a successful businessman and the director of several high performing companies. Mr Singh has been indirectly involved within the education industry for over 10 years and brings a diverse range of educational and professional experience to the Board. Mr Singh has been involved in start-ups and the management of Apex Institute of Education (AIE), as well as business management of various entities.

Mr John Cameron

Mr Cameron was the Chief Operating Officer at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) and was responsible for the coordination of strategy and service delivery across a range of specialist administrative functions, covering Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal Services, Planning, Properties and Secretariat. He was also the Secretary to the University Senate and the Company Secretary for ACU. He is a Master of Commerce (Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

Ms Livleen Sodhi

Ms Sodhi is the CEO who leads the management of day-to-day operations of Apex Institute of Education (AIE). Ms Sodhi has successfully grown this Vocational Education Training (VET) provider into an industry leading institute over the past 10 years.

Professor Elizabeth Deane

Professor Deane is the Chair of the AHE Academic Board. Prof. Deane holds a PhD (Biochemistry) from the University of Sydney. Professor Deane provides high quality higher education institutional governance for a number of universities and private providers including Deakin University, Victoria University, NSW TAFE, Southern Cross University, University of Sydney, Australia Catholic University and Avondale College of Higher Education. She has also worked work closely with respect to HE Private Providers’ compliance, reviewed and advised on submissions for reaccreditation and registration.

Mr Peter Meades

Mr Meades is a solicitor and partner in a mid-tier national law firm. An expert in Projects and Infrastructure and a career litigator, his expertise also includes VET colleges, particularly compliance and regulatory matters and has represented a number of colleges in ASQA (and previously VETAB) proceedings. As well as the drafting of commercial aspects of complex residential, industrial and commercial development and infrastructure projects, he is admitted and practices in all levels of dispute resolution within Australia and NSW, including the Court of Appeal the Supreme Court and lower jurisdictions, arbitrations, mediations and references. He is recognised by his peers as a leading practitioner, a fact confirmed by entry as a leading construction and infrastructure litigation lawyer (Doyle’s Guide 2018).

Professor Elizabeth Deane (Chair)

Professor Sanjay Jha

Sanjay K. Jha is a Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering since 2006 and the deputy director of the UNSW Institute for Cybersecurity (IFCYBER). He holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Sanjay has published over 300 articles in high quality journals and conferences. He is the principal author of the book Engineering Internet QoS and a co-editor of the book Wireless Sensor.

Dr. Julian de Meyrick

Dr de Meyrick has considerable experience in senior management positions, especially in marketing roles in major Australian and international companies. He also has senior administration and governance experience in higher education including university, NSW TAFE and private provider organisations. He lectures in marketing at Macquarie University, is the Dean of AIBI Higher Education, another private provider applying for Registration and Accreditation and is a Director of a major not-for-profit.

Associate Professor Ravi Seethamraju

A/P Seethamraju’s area of expertise include information systems, operations and supply chain management, IT innovation adoption and management accounting. He has 20 years of academic experience in leading Australian Universities such as University of Sydney, Macquarie Graduate School of Management, University of Western Sydney and Queensland University of Technology. Prior to joining academe, A/P Seethamraju had 10 years of corporate consulting experience. His research explores the evolving relationships between IT innovations and performance in organizations. During his academic career, he led several teaching and learning innovations including work integrated learning, blended learning, integration of information technologies into business curriculum and simulation games and regularly publishes research examining the role of IT innovations in improving business students’ learning experiences, and ‘work-readiness’. Funded by national and university grants, A/P Seethamraju has more than 100 refereed publications in leading international journals and conferences. A/P Seethamraju served as a board member and chairperson for the Supply Chain Council ANZ, and currently serves as a member in the education committee of the Association for Information Systems and in governing council/academic boards of other Higher Education Providers. He won three best international research paper awards and others including Kit Dempney prize for IS Education, University of Sydney Business School Teaching excellence award and Australian Post graduate Research award. A/P Seethamraju is a visiting scholar at the Georgia State University in USA, University of Stuttgart, University of Potsdam, and University of Koblanz in Germany, Singapore Management University and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
